LCC is seeking input on the LCCPRIDE mission statement

At Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, we are proud of our students, our staff, and our school.  In the spring of 2015, members of the LCC Continuous Improvement Team (CIP) met and discussed the direction our school is headed.  Through our discussions, we evaluated the current mission statement and believed that our focus evolved.  We adopted a new mission statement, outcomes, and belief statement to reflect our purpose at LCC School.

LCC School adopted LCC PRIDE as our Mission Statement.  To expand upon this, LCC Pride comes out of:  Equipping Students with skills for Life, Career, Challenges in a Progressive, Rigorous, Inclusive, Dynamic, Environment.

As a way to help determine our effectiveness in achieving our mission, we view Content Mastery, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Citizenship as being the pillars that we operate from.  Our belief is that the strongest predictor of our success is a shared vision, and that by working together we will make a difference. All stakeholders have a valuable role and operate under the expectation that with mutual trust and respect, we will achieve our mission.

As we did last year at this time, we are asking for your feedback.  During the month of March, we would like to know your thoughts on our proposed mission, outcomes, and belief statement as shown above.  To provide us with your suggestions, please email us at: lccpride@laurel.esu1.org.  If you would rather mail your suggestions to the school, please mail them to:  LCC School, Attn:  Mr. Vance, 203 South Main St, Coleridge NE 68727.

Members of the CIP Team will meet again during the spring and consider all suggestions.  Once completed, we will make any revisions needed and this summer propose to the school board the mission, outcomes, and beliefs for their approval.  This is going to be an annual event, as we want to make sure the focus of the school is representative of the beliefs of the school and community.  Thank you for taking time to help us make our school better.
