LCC selected to participate in BlendEd Pilot Project

LCC has been selected to participate in the BlendEd pilot project in conjunction with ESU1 and the ESUCC.  As part of the pilot, Mr. McKamy and Mr. Glaubius are working to increase presence of digital learning in their classrooms.

BlendEd Learning is a model that combines traditional face-to-face instruction with an online component in the teaching of the lesson. The advantage of using a BlendEd learning is that it can allow for the teacher to have more freedom in their lessons to shape how the online component can best compliment their curriculum.  There are different types of BlendEd learning, the most common are:

  1.  Face to face where the teacher still provides most of the direct instruction.
  2. Rotation where online learning and in class learning rotate.
  3. Flex provides for small group instruction of tutorial sessions.
  4. Online Lab is a style where lessons are on an online learning platform in a computer lab.
  5. Self-Blend allows online learning in a mode that is almost always remotely.
  6. Online Driver where any instructional materials are delivered entirely online.
