6TH GRADE TRIP TO LINCOLN
The 6th grade class had the good fortune of touring Lincoln on October 28th. Archie, the bronze mammoth, welcomed students on their self-guided tour of Morrill Hall on the UNL campus. Students and sponsors walked around discovering exhibits. While at the capitol building, we had a surprise visit from Governor Pete Ricketts, who reminded the group of some Nebraska history. Across the street from the capitol was the governor's mansion. We were able to see where the governor entertains and holds special meals. The final venture was grabbing a bite to eat at Dairy Queen on our way home.
