Volleyball

The LCC bears volleyball team has kicked off their season with an amazing start with 3 wins. On August 21st  they played in the jamboree held in Laurel against GACC. The bears defeated GACC in three straight sets. Then they traveled to Battle Creek on August 28th for a triangular with West Holt and Battle Creek. The Bears again went and took down both teams in two sets. Coach Julie Kvols shared, “I'm excited about the direction of our team this year. The girls put in the work through the summer weights, team camps, and pre-season practices, and we are looking strong and ready to compete this season.  Our expectation for the season is to grow as a team and in the game of volleyball every week. We want to be playing our best volleyball when it matters the most, in postseason play. Staying focused on the task at hand and one game at a time. Not getting ahead of ourselves at all. Our Battle Creek game spotlighted this team's strengths with how versatile our team is. We have players that can contribute in multiple roles on the court. I  was really proud of our seniors that night with their leadership and energy they brought to the court. Our defense stepped up and we even looked organized when we were out of system.  I was really proud of the whole team. The energy, the smiles, the high fives, and supporting everyone.”
