Mrs. Jennifer Backer is the Middle School English teacher at LCC. She is from Carroll, Nebraska and grew up the youngest of four girls. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State College. She also holds ELL and Middle School endorsements in Language Arts and Math. This is her 24th year of teaching. She previously taught at Randolph Public Schools and this is her sixth year teaching at LCC. The thing she loves most about teaching is the connections she makes with students and the chance to support their learning.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and relaxing outside with her flowers. She also enjoys walking and helping her family’s beekeeping business, CBees Honey. A fun fact about Mrs. Backer is her husband is a beekeeper. Her favorite color is sage green and her favorite food is White Berry Chantilly cake from Whole Foods.
