One Act

The LCC High School One Act team has been working hard to perfect their play for this year’s season. Their chosen production is Two Households, an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. This year’s one-act play brings a classic Shakespearean tragedy roaring into the 1950s. Set against a backdrop reminiscent of The Outsiders, the production reimagined the feud between the Montagues and Capulets as a clash between greasers and socials—slick hair, leather jackets, and all. The script, written by Sarah Beckwith, features standout performances from Kolten Settje as Romeo and Holly Patefield as Juliet. Every one of our 57 cast and crew members plays an essential role in bringing this world to life, from the actors on stage to the technicians behind the curtain. Their teamwork, creativity, and dedication will make Two Households a success!

Our seniors—Stella Kock, Kolten Settje, Holly Patefield, Laney Folkers, Kennedy Hall, Emily Rasmussen, Addison Hoeppner, Derek Nelson, Kate Tasler, Tyrelle Sims, Danica Gould, Tyler Recob, and Darly Garcia-Perez—have been absolutely pivotal to the success of this year’s production. Their leadership, talent, and passion will be deeply missed as they take their final bows in December.

Audiences can look forward to a heartfelt and modern retelling of the timeless story of love and tragedy. The cast has dedicated countless early mornings and late nights to rehearsing their one-act performance.

You can see their hard work come to life on November 14, 2025, in the Legacy Gym at 7:00 p.m. Watch as “two star-crossed lovers take their lives” in this powerful retelling. Come out and support the One Act team as they prepare for their upcoming competitions!
