The LCC Speech Team hosted its home meet on Saturday, February 28th. There were 13 teams in attendance. West Point-Beemer High School placed 1st, Osmond High School earned runner-up, and Plainview high school placed 3rd. LCC finished 7th overall.
Individually, Faith Galvin placed 4th in Extemporaneous Speaking. Cloey Young placed 5th in Poetry, Kennedy Hall placed 4th in Persuasive Speaking, and Ava Christiansen placed 6th in Entertainment. The OID team of Kennedy Hall, Ava Christiansen, and Nolan Nordby placed 7th. Overall, it was a good day of competition and practice for the team as they continued developing their speaking skills.
