This Monday, March 9th the LCC speech team competed at Lutheran High Northeast at the GNAC Conference speech meet. They competed against twelve other teams and had three individual placers. Faith Galvin took conference champion in Extemporaneous speaking,Kennedy Hall earned runner-up honors in Persuasive, and Cloey Young was 6th in Poetry. Other competitors included: Ava Christensen and Nolan Norby; Entertainment speaking, Jolynn Kinkaid; Extemporaneous speaking, Allysa Paulhamus; poetry, and the Oral Interpretation of Drama team; Kennedy Hall, Ava Christiansen, and Nolan Norby. The team will also hold a community performance on Thursday, March 12th at the high school starting at 6:30. The speech team will then compete next at the District meet, March 17th in Homer.
