Overall, the structure of the 2026-2027 school calendar remains consistent including:
1) similar start and end dates with a 1:00 pm dismissal on the first and last days of school;
2) designated staff professional development time prior to the start of school (3 days), at semester (1 day) and at the conclusion of the school year (1 day);
3) early dismissal (2:00 pm) on Wednesdays prioritized for professional learning activities;
4) high school graduation held on the second Saturday in May (Mother's Day weekend);
5) No school for students and staff on February 15th - Presidents Day; and
6) a full two-week semester break over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
A few notable differences include:
1) first semester parent-teacher conferences held earlier than this past school year (Oct. 1st);
2) second semester parent teacher conferences:
a) February 12, 2027 - No School for Grades PK-5; Elementary Only Parent-Teacher Conferences (PK-5); Students in Grades 6-12 have a regular school day.
b) March 25, 2027 - No School for All Students (PK-12); Secondary Only Parent-Teacher Conferences (6-12); High School Registration Process (8-11); Elementary Staff (PK-5) - Professional Development;
3) parent-teacher conference times expanded and adjusted: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm;
4) two days with no school for students (all staff report) for GNAC Conference home-hosted events: November 17th - Play Production and April 30th - JH Track Meet; and
5) No School for staff or students on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving break.
