Through Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department's Creating New Smiles program, students can receive a dental check, basic cleaning, fluoride treatment, and protective sealants to help prevent cavities. These services help keep your child's smile healthy, but do not replace regular dentist visits.
A signed parent/guardian permission form must be returned by October 28th for your child to participate. Megan Hanefeldt with the Cedar County 4H Extension Office visited the first graders on Wednesday teaching them about the pumpkin life cycle! They were able to see inside a pumpkin, make a pumpkin life cycle craft, and taste test some pumpkin seeds.
