🌳📚 One School, One Book – Clues Are Here! 📚🌳

The countdown is ON… and we’re getting closer to our big reveal!

Here are your newest clues:

✨ Clue #1: The author of our mystery book is the same author who wrote The One & Only Ivan!
✨ Clue #2: The narrator of our book is… a TREE! 🌳

Have you guessed it yet?

This year’s One School, One Book selection is "Wishtree" — a heartfelt story about a wise old tree who has stood in the center of a neighborhood for many years, watching families grow, friendships form, and seasons change. When something unexpected happens in the community, the tree quietly reminds everyone about kindness, belonging, and the power of even the smallest acts of courage.

It’s a story full of heart, hope, and meaningful conversations for readers of all ages.

📖 Books will be sent home on Monday, March 2nd with the oldest (or only) child in each family. Be sure to check backpacks Monday afternoon!

We cannot wait for our Elementary and Middle School students, staff, and families to start this journey together.

🌟 Get excited and ready to read! 🌟

On February 20, our freshmen science class traveled to Haskell Agricultural Laboratory for an exciting Physical Science Day in Concord!

Twenty-four students rotated through hands-on learning sessions exploring wind energy by building turbines, experimenting with forces in wind tunnels, and investigating energy transfers through roller coaster models.

A big thank you to Haskell Ag Lab, local 4-H extension offices, and University of Nebraska–Lincoln students for partnering to provide such engaging, real-world learning experiences. What a fantastic day of science in action! 🔬⚡

Our National Honor Society students recently spent time visiting with residents at Parkview Haven in Coleridge!

From meaningful conversations to shared laughter, our students were reminded that leadership is about service, compassion, and building relationships across generations. We’re so proud of the way they represented our school and lived out the values of NHS by giving their time to others. ❤️
