Today, LCC School conducted a Secure safety drill as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping students and staff safe. During a Secure drill, classroom instruction continues as normal while exterior doors are secured.

Hands-on learning in action! Students in Fundamentals of Nutrition put their baking skills to the test, while Intro to Technology students explored propulsion with mousetrap-powered cars.

Congratulations to Ruby Tasler, LCC Middle School's Student of the Month for October! Ruby was nominated by both Mrs. Jennifer Backer and Mrs. Erica Mogensen. They had this to share: "Ruby has shown tremendous growth in language and literature, becoming more focused, responsible, and confident in her writing! She is active in cross country and band, balancing her academics and activities well. As a Circle of Friends mentor, Ruby shows kindness, empathy, and a positive attitude that brightens the classroom and our Middle School."

Congratulations to Dayton Korth, LCC High School's Student of the Month for October! Dayton was nominated by Mrs. Claire Krepel who had this to say: "Perseverance, kindness, grit, humor , and strong work ethic are all qualities that Dayton clearly exhibits! He is always on top of his assignments, consistently works hard, takes initiative, and helps others. Dayton is an all around wonderful student!"

LCC's Plant Science class had the opportunity to learn from a German research and design engineer. Dominik Schlieper from Geringhoff talked about the company's design process and the testing they conduct here in Nebraska.

Attached is the bracket for the 2025 GNAC High School Volleyball tournament. LCC will host the first round games on Saturday, October 18th.
The Lady Bears will play Hartington-Newcastle @ 2:00PM!

LCC hosts the inaugural GNAC Junior High Volleyball Tournament tomorrow at the High School. Games are set to begin at 2:00PM. Bracket is attached.
