On March 26th, 15 LCC High School youth participated in the Empower Youth Summit in Bellevue. The students were welcomed by Keynote speaker Foster Huggins, sharing a powerful message about living a meaningful life.

Students then transitioned through breakout sessions of their choice focused on leadership, connection and relationships, technology, mental health, goals, and well-being, all leading students to small group discussions and an overview of resources available to promote self care and wellness.

Safety Drill Notification – LCC School

Today at 1:00 PM, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Schools conducted a safety drill based on a hypothetical intruder scenario as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and prepared learning environment for our students and staff.

This drill is part of our ALICE safety procedures (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) and allows students and staff to practice how to respond appropriately during a potential emergency situation. The scenario is carefully planned and no individuals are acting as a threat and no prop weapons are used. Students are well aware that the scenario is a practice exercise designed to reinforce safety skills.

Local law enforcement were notified of the drill, and all activities were conducted in a highly controlled and supervised manner.

We appreciate the support of our families and community as we work together to ensure our schools remain safe places to learn and grow. We encourage families to talk with their children about what they learned during the drill and the importance of being prepared.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students and staff safe.
