Thank you to Megan Hanefeldt and Cara Wiebelhaus from the UNL Extension Office for coming to the middle school. Our 5th and 6th graders got to work first-hand with science and were assigned the task of creating a wind turbine that had the most revolutions per minute.

Holly Patefield finishes in 10th place and qualifies for the state golf meet in North Platte held on October 9th and 10th!
The team finishes just shy of 3rd place in a very competitive district, which would have qualified as a team.

Congratulations to the Junior High Lady Bulldogs Volleyball teams on their victories over Tri-County Northeast. The 'B' team won in 3 sets and the 'A' team won in straight sets.
A few of LCC Biology students participated in water competitions at the Wonderful World of Water event at Gilman Park in Pierce, Nebraska last week. Students rotated through 5 learning stations and took assessments at each station. The students had a great time learning about organisms in the water, effects of pollution, problem solving, designing solutions, etc. This event was sponsored by Lower Elkhorn Natural Resource District
