LCC High School Honors Night

Math contest takes place at WSC every year. Each school can enter 2 students in each of the tests. This year LCC sent 10 students with 2 students in each of the following tests. In all of the tests, they place in the top 10 students and in calculus they place the top 5.
Algebra 1: Alyza Leonard - 5th place and Jose Carlos - 9th place
Algebra 2: Lainey Schutte - 7th place and Kate Tasler
Geometry: Faith Galvin and Carlie Kvols
PreCalculus: Clara Brummels - 6th place and Koby Detlefsen - 10th place

The Haskell Award is annually given to one LCC educator at each school building level who is highly regarded as an outstanding educator and exemplifies excellence in the profession. A Haskell Award nominee is remarkable in his/her dedication, passion, and commitment to students, teaching, and learning.

The LCC 6th grade class enjoyed their class field trip to Omaha today. The 6th grade got to tour the Kiewet Luminarium and see the following demonstrations: Cow Eye Dissection, Magic & Illusion, Perception Goggles, & Flower Dissection. Fun day of learning for our 6th graders!




LCC's 8th grade students participated in the Missouri River Watershed School Festival today. Information shared with them at the event included fossils, invasive species, birds, animal wildlife, glaciation, river formation, caring for the river, and water safety.
