The physical science class visited the Haskell Ag Lab to explore rocketry. T.H.O.R.( the heartland organization of rocketry) provided a learning experience for our students. The students learned some model rocket basics then designed, built, and launched motor and paper rockets.

Our LCC middle schoolers did an awesome job with their Coleridge Community Outreach Project today! Projects included pulling weeds by the cemetery fence, mulching by the community signs, and our Adopt-a-Highway initiative on Highway 57. The kids worked hard and did great today!

In April, LCC students enrolled in Spanish I and II participated in the National Spanish Examination, a program of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
The National Spanish Exam (NSE) is a language competition to recognize student achievement and proficiency in the study of Spanish.
This exam is an online, standardized assessment tool for Grades 6-12 that measures content standards (vocabulary and grammar) and performance standards (reading and listening comprehension).
At the National level, students are able to receive medal placement (gold, silver, bronze, honorable mention) based on their scores and are eligible to apply for several types of scholarships (Global Citizen Scholarship, Junior Study Abroad Program, Senior Scholarship).
LCC students received a certificate of participation in this year’s exam. The following students in Spanish I: Honorable Mention; Paul Allison, Justice Olson, River Tritten; Bronze Medal recipients; José Carlos and Faith Galvin.
