We're offering a FAN BUS for LCC students and community members on Friday, October 23rd! Ride in style aboard the LCC Activity Bus and help us bring the BEAR COUNTRY spirit to Kearney!

📍 Departure: 8:00 AM from the Presbyterian Church parking lot in Laurel
🏃♀️ Lady Bears Race: 12:00 PM at Kearney Country Club
🏅 Awards Ceremony: 2:00 PM
🏠 Anticipated Return to Laurel:
Approximately 6:00 PM if we have medalists participating in the awards ceremony.
Approximately 4:30 PM if we do not anticipate receiving awards.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE FOR STUDENTS & PARENTS:
Limited school staff supervision will be provided on the fan bus and at the State Cross Country Meet. Students riding the bus are expected to demonstrate responsible behavior, follow school expectations, and remain accountable for themselves while attending the meet. Students must have their own admission ticket and bring any food, drinks, or spending money they may need. This fan bus is a transportation opportunity and does not provide continuous individual student supervision throughout the event.

We are proud to celebrate these two LCC musicians for being selected to participate in Midland University’s Select Honor Choir and Festival Choir!
Richell and Caden were among just 35 students selected for the Select Honor Choir from a pool of 260 auditionees. The choir spent two days rehearsing in Fremont, Nebraska, culminating in a concert last night.
Richell is a junior, and Caden is a freshman at LCC. Congratulations to both on this outstanding achievement!

Circle of Friends met this past week and students were paired with their partners for the year. Mrs. Fernau and Mrs. Campbell talked with the students about what it means to be part of Circle of Friends and why being a kind, caring, and good friend is so important! Students traced and decorated their hands, which will be part of our upcoming bulletin board celebrating “Different Hands, Kind Hearts!” 🤟❤️
We are excited to see our students’ creativity come together to remind us that even though we are all different, we can all make a difference by being kind and including others!
